Dont worry, im not dead (I know you dont worry about that). Its just I write when I feel like writing. So dont get me wrong but... you know... yea you dont know. Anyway, things are going good and the formula for predicting the market works superb.

This last big move down... unfortunetly I had no signal for that and my long position which seemed to be so nice was closed with only +10. By the way, there was one looser actually (marked with red arrow). I also ran a quick check on my recent methods and it was pretty hard end of the week for my old "systems" so Im glad even more that it turned out so well.

So whose method is that??

This blog is called W.D Gann the project, so it would point out that im using Gann`s method, right? Well, not exactly. When someone says "Gann`s method" then there are three options: method contained in his courses, method he used himself to predict the market or method which is claimed to be Gann`s method to forecast the markets.
As to my method I only can say that im inspired by Gann and also some guys who were writing about it. But its almost impossible to tell that this is Gann`s method to forecast market! I dont know that, I also dont think that it is actually that "secret" method which he never shared publicly.

W.D Gann died broke?

Some time ago Soultrader commented on Gann: "Gann died broke"... end of story, right? Well, if everything would be that simple in this world. Personally I can not find a proof for that statement and oposite either. But on the other hand notice some facts:

1). "By 1936 the lowest tax rate had reached 4 percent and the top rate was up to 79 percent."
2). Gann bought a plane.
3). Gann was hiring 25 (some say 35) people constantly in his wall street office.

Now, taxes and his plane is very interesting. Some say that: "Gann used planes to inspect crops, however this is highly unlikely as he knew in advance what the market was doing". Dont you think it would be strange for him to inspect crops? Now checkt this theory out: ""It was possible that the planes were a tax deduction and he flew the money he made to a South American bank account." Is this a proof that he wasnt broke? No, its not. Its just a theory. The same theory as the one he died broke.

Im not trying to defend or acuse here. At least not in this way by combining facts which might not even be facts. All im saying here is: folks like Soultrader who states that Gann died broke have no clue what they are talking about. Its like reading a line in a magazine and taking it as a truth. Come on, you can do better than that, cant you?

Here is a chart that many of you know very well. Some say there is a piece of Gann`s secret in it. I admit that this chart actually showed me something which I overlooked hundreds of times before and which is the key factor in constructing proper squared chart. I had to get back to historical data which is actually showed on this chart. If you will have enough patience to study the data and how Gann actually presented this data on above chart you might understand what im talking about.

Remember, time and price has to be converted, price to time or time to price. There are many methods, calculations all over the place but... 99% of them are wrong. Why? Because they wont allow you to construct this soy bean chart.

Well, you had enough time to study what was written. I dont know if anyone found the key but time is up and the next one is going to be harder to get.
